Our local team is available to assist you every day from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. There’s also always someone on-site overnight for any needs that may arise.
If you need towels, toilet paper, soap, sheets, or daily cleaning of your eco-cabin, just let us know in the morning during breakfast, and we’ll be happy to help. We respect your privacy, so we’ll only enter your cabin when requested.

do you love hiking?

After breakfast, between 9:00 and 9:30 AM, is the perfect time to explore our trails and enjoy the local flora and fauna. This is an ideal place for anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with nature in a peaceful setting.

At Proyecto Maloca, every detail is designed to offer you a true place of rest—grounded, sustainable, and in tune with the Earth. We can’t wait to host you!

authentic responsible ecotourism

Connecting with a natural refuge like Proyecto Maloca means living a different kind of experience. We're surrounded by trees, trails, and ocean, in a setting that remains as untouched as possible. Our eco-cabins and common areas are cleaned daily, but despite our best efforts, it’s normal to occasionally see a curious insect, spider, or little frog.

An interesting fact: a single tree can host more than 200 insect species! That’s part of the natural balance in living ecosystems like the one surrounding Proyecto Maloca. Here, nature follows its own rhythm, and sharing space with it is part of the responsible ecotourism experience.

To reduce our environmental impact, our cabins are equipped with composting toilets. This sustainable solution helps us use resources responsibly and promote conscious, low-impact tourism.

If you enjoy being surrounded by nature and are looking for a quiet place to disconnect, this is the perfect destination. At night, we recommend using a flashlight when walking around.

We want you to feel comfortable, safe, and relaxed. If you prefer a place without small critters, another type of lodging might suit you better. But if you’re excited about living a truly authentic ecotourism experience, Proyecto Maloca is ready to welcome you with open arms, offering a peaceful stay in harmony with nature.

For a smoother arrival, we recommend getting here before 4:00 PM, as the final stretch includes a 7-minute walk along a dirt path, which is easier during daylight. Wear comfortable shoes, and if you’re arriving late in the day, bring a flashlight or headlamp for better visibility.
